Activist advises new EFCC boss to make history in fight against corruption

A human rights activist, Mr Tunde Oladunjoye, on Tuesday advised the new acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to strive to make history in the fight against corruption in Nigeria. Oladunjoye, said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Iseyin, Oyo State, that Mr Ibrahim Magu's appointment came at a time the country was ready to tackle corruption. "He should realise that he has a place in history and he has his name to make or mar. "That the President has chosen him at a time he wants to fight corruption regardless of political affiliations placed enormous responsibilities on his shoulders as acting chairman." Oladunjoye also advised the new EFCC boss not to be distracted by ``praise singer'', saying that Nigerians required the commission to carry out its work diligently irrespective of who was involved.
