Paris Attacks Mastermind Holed Up In Siege

Shooting began in the early hours of the morning in Saint Denis, and police say two suspects wanted in connection with the terror in the French capital - a man and a woman who was wearing a suicide belt - have been killed.
Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the mastermind of the attacks who was thought to be in Syria, is believed to be holed up in the apartment with several other heavily armed suspects.

Two people have been detained, and four police officers have been injured in the standoff, a police official said.
It is believed the other suspect was killed by a police sniper.
At least seven large explosions have been heard.

A police official said there had been exchanges of gunfire and special SWAT teams are on the scene.
"The operation is still under way. It's not over," local member of parliament Mathieu Hanotin told France Inter radio.
"Everyone must stay indoors. There are still gunmen holed up in the apartment."

Sky News Senior Correspondent Michelle Clifford, at the scene, said: "We have just heard a massive explosion - and now another - although we're not sure where they are coming from.
"They may be grenades. We don't know if they were initiated by police or not.
"There are dozens and dozens of soldiers walking in the direction of the apartment carrying weapons - more and more are arriving to reinforce the presence on the ground.
